Tyne O’Connell is the Queen Bee incarnate!” The Daily Telegraph

“Draped in pink and sipping saki in her fashionable London Warehouse, the impossibly glamourous O’Connell!” Elle UK

Tyne O’Connell inhabits the worlds she writes about: exotic, unconventional, off-piste in every way.

Working with artists and artisans like a latter day Medici, Tyne designs her own range of artwork, clothes, jewelry and crocodile accessories under her label Apis Regina; a range which is exclusive to her and which no one else can purchase.

the bespoke life—living like a Medici...

I want a bespoke life. I could never settle for made-to-measure. I don't seek a life that fits a social trend or gives a heads up to the tabloid mass movement known as The Zeitgeist! I never wanted an off-the-rack existence. Like a Medici, I want a life designed by me, for me and the people I love: one that fits my entire being and addresses all my needs.

I spend most of my life in my bed, holding court, writing on my laptop; preferably in hotel rooms in exotic locations. I like my sheets changed everyday. Clean sheets and room service make me more productive. I'm a girl with abiding penchants for the constants in my life.

I'm not keen on giving things up - and that includes my husbands. Quelle horreur that I should dispose of the father of my children any more than my children themselves! I love routines with a salad of change on the side. Espresso every morning in room temp milk followed by 6 hours of writing and then a good run with the bulls.

One should never be too definite about anything other than grammar and lingerie. I am also a girl brim full of penchants: Londres, Cairo, LA, Paris, Versailles, Bangkok, deserts and rainforests.
